I'm 26 years old.


Right so doing this again. I am a 26 year old who is reluctantly working on growing up and being a mature responsible adult. Obviously some days are better than others. I have a Bachelors degree with majors in History and Russian studies that I can't do anything with at the moment and I'm not sure that I ever want to actually do something directly related to what I went to school for. Picking a major in college probably wasn't the best decision I ever made. I comfort myself with the idea that my time at college was an intellectual experience and my choice in majors was about what I love rather than getting a job. It isn't just an idea it's mostly the truth. I figured the job part would take care of itself.

I like books, even if I have no plans or desire to read them. I like music, my taste can get fairly diverse. I am indecisive and more than a little scatter brained. This journal is the result of one of my instances of compulsive behavior a few years back. Perhaps that explains my pattern of updating. I like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fanfiction, my preferred brand is slash. I smoke too many Marlboro cigarettes, I'm somewhere between knowing I should quit smoking and not caring enough to actually quit. I like to write, I can't write fanfiction and currently the novel I have been working on since Nov 2004 is stuck somewhere between lack of motivation and writer's block for rewriting. I'm an aspiring bum, who spends too much time in a head she thinks is fucked up. I like Russia. I'm a little morbid and perhaps more depressive than is healthy.

FAIR WARNING I HAVE A FILTHY MIND AND A GOOD NUMBER OF MY unusual, weird, and down right wrong thoughts end up in this journal when I can be bothered to update it. I swear a lot, I'm not trying to stop. I have an odd sense of humor that sometimes only I can appreciate. Also there is a reason the title of the journal is random ramblings, I ramble on about random things. ::grin:: In other words, read at your own risk.
